i did only the bahrain race aswell, and mario and me say exactly the same, this car is not even close fun to drive in high downforce corners because of the non existing rear downforce, and yeah lets see if you still wanna do it with the current state

 

No argument from me doesn't mean it doesn't happen, though.

 

What about just giving the Vanwall more downforce, would probably solve all the problems this car has right now.

 

I appreciate the efforts done to the BoP. It will address the issue of overall laptimes, but it's still LMP2 territory from Porsche Curves to Tertre Rouge.

Imagine being a LMP2 driver having spent almost your whole stint to reduce a 10s gap to 3s and you get some guy in a Vanwall on shot tyres (which they will be for the majority of time) right before the Porsche Curves trying to overtake you. Managing to stay ahead means you will not be held up all the way to Tertre Rouge, if you get passed almost all your work will be undone. How much risk would you be willing to take? I'd take it 2-wide all the way through, if necessary or even try to pass again on the outside if I think I can pull it off. As a Vanwall driver trying to make that move, I would still do it because the LMP2's race is not my problem and I'm in a fight of my own.

 

The lmp2 has to chill then. It is like it is.

 

Yeah, thats also a good possibilty. I think, that everyone will get a good feeling about the pace of the other cars in the next two weeks and then there will be no big problems in the race. It´s just important, that everyone does laps on the server.

 

depends on the dirty air but yes ... its possible to do it. we will see in practice how it works out tbh and if it works out for the lmp2 some guys will do it ofc

 

I'll head out on the server sometime this weekend and hopefully find someone to victimize in this way. If you happen to be the victim, please don't be too kind

Only consider the latter sumbission as the names were corrected to the right numbers.

By the time it is calculated that we will already have the skins in the mod, I want to shoot with the skins and not with the black test car

I spent some time on the server yesterday and I must say I'm happy with the actions taken regarding the BoP. The areas where the LMP2 is still faster (braking zones and corner entry of slower corners) I don't think will disturb the flow of the race. The advantage of the LMP2 in Porsche Curves seemed less than I anticipated.

The gap in laptime is still not huge, so there might still be some risk of shenanigans between LMP2 and LMH, but that would be mostly down to LMH-teams being poorly prepared. So in this situation I do think any teams struggling with the LMH should reconsider their entry.

 

Laptimes seems fine, when i was testing right now i can do 31s to 32s without changeing our set much. Car feels bit weird because of the weight but it should be possible to work around.
