Here I am to comment on the race that has finally seen the Sikania team live up to the best team, my drivers were fantastic both Pizzo and Scalet that Becagli Grasso and Vagnoni that esordivano in a league of endurance.La battle with team TXL was fantastic until the end and I decided not to get in the car just to have more chance to win the race thanks to Daniele and Franco have done a great job, but the second car behaved well were first-timers in this type of racing but they are very good drivers should only improve a little constancy in the race, Bella was the struggle between Becagli and Broch last and congratulations to the organizers for a job well done.
Marcus would be nice to have an international stream there are many Italian listeners who look the direct and penoo that would appreciate having the comments in their own language.Surely we will be present at the next race you're waiting to know the track and then a greeting to all and the next

Did you see Vettel as good at speaking Italian.:D:D:p

First thanks for the great participation. Also my congratulation for all finishers and the podiums.

We had a good start from the pole and could build a small gap before we hit the first time the gt traffic. From then there was a comfortable lead of 10-15secs for the most part of the my first stint. Towards the end i was able to increase the gap by a few more seconds. Then Mats was in the car and did had some trouble with the car so he could not go his normal pace and we lost slightly but constant to the cars behind. After the next driver swap back to me i had @Daniele Pizzo very close and he was able to try a few attacks. After on he spun in T1 and i hope we didnt touch and i left him enough room. The rest of the stint was very intense to keep the gap to the guys behind. To Daniele it was always between 2 and 5 seconds. Towards the end of my stint he did a small mistake and i could give Mats the car back with ~20sec lead. In his second stint the problems from Mats had been gone and he was able to increase steadily the gap to over 50 ses. But the when preparing for the next driver swap his wheel lost power and i saw the car crashing into the barrier. I asked what happens but there was only deadly silence. I though he will have a disconnect and all the hard work so far was for nothing but after some endless second he replayed in TS. So we decided to make the driver swap immediately. Going back on track the car felt strange and i had trouble to find the previous pace. So your gap was pretty constant by 30-35 secs. In the second half was able to increase to gap again to ~50sec before handing the car to Mats for our final stint. From there the car felt good again and Mats was able to drive the nice win home.
Overall we had some smaller issues but no large incidents and made also no bigger mistakes ourself.

For some LMP/GT incidents i have seen on stream or from my cockpit view while driving some looked just like a misunderstanding. But there had been also some misjudgments by the LMPs. Here is to say that often its quicker for the LMP if he is a bit more patient. But on the other side you also need to be push in the battles you are involved in. So its always hard to find the right balance between patience and aggressiveness. I hope we all learn from this race and try to reduce this mistakes in future.

The date is dangerously close to VEC 24H of Le Mans race, which is on June 3rd. Most drivers who attend VEC race will not have enough recovery to do another 8H long endurance race within 1 week.

A little bit late to make this video, but a very fun race this was; despite the frantic moments. Looking forward to the rest of the series!

As a memento, here are some of the highlights from our car: :)

  7. I don't think thats a big issue, there is one week in between so more than enough time - at least for me :)

Well, looks like your approach to endurance racing is slightly different!. ;) The problem is, we take the VEC championship very seriously as we are still in contention to win the GT class. And we spend a lot of time preparing for it. After a long and tiring race like that the following week(s) is the time to stay away from racing and rejuvenate. Starting to practice again within few days for yet another endurance race is too much, (my train of thought dictates).

Any specific rules on Qualy/Warmup/Race Start, any driver swaps allowed during qualy or who has to start the race etc?

I think as every event in the past.
For all to know, -the Rennsimulanten would participate again with multiple cars in both classes. Don´t know if in the same teams as before, but we will be there. Unhappy that we didn´t knew, if all others teams do so as well, because we don´t see if the entry list is up to date. Also a little bit disappointed, that there is the wrong date on server welcome text and on the live timing. I think it don´t take much time to set it up to date. And i would vote for real weather even in preparation, or two different servers, one with smooth weather, one with real...

Yes, it would be nice to start a new entry list for each race.
Horizon Motorsports will be back with at least 2 LMP2 cars and a strong chance of entering a GT3 car (already registered). There is also potential for a 3rd LMP2 car, maybe.

PRD are also hoping to enter at least one GT class team again,an updated entry list and skins deadline would be great. Thanks in advance.

The driver finishing qualifying should start the race. Best is to do no driver swaps during warmup or qualifying to support server stability.

We have clear the entrylist and i have setup a second test server.

    1. Server is in test day + realweather
    2. Is running practice, qualy and warmup each 165min and a 2 lap race with constant conditions.

@Admins, in the signup menu "24h Driver/Car Change" option is not available to team managers yet. So when I wanted to add another driver to #61 today, I could not. I made the #64 entry with 4 drivers, but it needs to be numbered as #61. And the entry with 3 drivers need to be deleted.

I will probably have more changes/additions, we need to have that team manager option available please.

I am guessing anyone that has switch to DX11 is having the same problem with this mod, the intermittent bright glow in front and behind the car. Any news on when this mod will be updated or how this problem will be handled?

This will be fixed for our race. But i dont know if @Franck Baroni will release a new public version before the race so i can update the practice server.

Hey Simon, I just wanted to check what the status of the servers is. There only seem to be one active server at the moment and it has been raining hard the last couple of times I have tried it and the car is totally undrivable.

Moved the dry server to an other server instance. Should be available now.

Perhaps a stupid question, but I will ask to be sure: with the GT cars, must we use locked gear ratios or can we open them and choose anything we want?
