@Simon Christmann Could you please remove our GTE entry #101. Livery for the #1 LMP2 is submitted.

TireTime: time to change two tires, time to change four tires, random delay on any tire, concurrent tire changes (0.0=separate, 1.0=concurrent)
DriverTime: time to change driver, random delay, extra delay if vehicle is damaged, concurrent driver changes (0.0=separate, 1.0=concurrent)
    • LMP2 / DPi
      • TireTime=(17,37,2,0)
      • DriverTime=(20,1.5,2.5,1.0)
    • GTE
      • TireTime=(17,37,2,0)
      • DriverTime=(20,1.5,2.5,1.0)

        will the times like this?

Why not use the new one? Time enough for any setup changes...

The setup or the driving is not a problem, but drafting is completely broken with the new build. In my opinion, there is little point even having this race (at Le Mans, of all places) with such a huge bug.

I don't know if a fix will be released before the race, I didn't find a word about this on S397 forums or Discord. If there's no guarantee it will be fixed in time, I suggest we revert to the old build.

Edit: to elaborate on the drafting, it basically doesn't work until you're almost on the bumper of the guy in front. Then you both seem to have an increase in speed. Dirty air also doesn't seem to exist any more. I wasn't able to pass a guy who was 4 seconds off my pace all the way from Tertre Rouge to Indianapolis.

We'll have a look into it. I assume it's mod related and came with the physics update. But ofc we want to see slipstream battles.

First we need to validate your input and have to check if's the same for all GTE's. Then we can try to find a workaround.

Thank you. I didn't have replays on yesterday. I will turn them on when I go drive this evening.

I think we'll have another problem. Due to the Update the Ferrari is actually so fast it could even start in LMP 2.5 Class. The only car with no increased Drag. We are talking about easy 1 sec per lap. With a little bit of Setup work it is even more... on the straight it is 4 km/h faster. Are you going to BOP the Ferrari with some KG?

Well, I think you are exaggerating a bit.
Cause when you compare the Top Speed before/after the update you can see nearly the same spread:

Now: (all with quali Mapping and rear wing 1)

    Ferrari 298
    Corvette 297
    Porsche 296
    Aston 295
    BMW 295

    Old physics:

    Corvette 299
    Ferrari 297
    Porsche 297
    BMW 297
    Aston 296

So the spread is the same but yeah… Ferrari is now the fastest. But not 4 km/h to all cars like you told. ;)

These numbers don't mean much without uploading the respective setups :p

So i think we are going into data now.
When i compare Aston vs Ferrari, the Aston lose 2/10 ish EVERY straight. There is definetly something off in the BOP. The Drag reduction is huge in the range of 200-250 km/h. Due to the Engine curve of the Ferrari it flattens out at the end of the straight, but at the breaking point we lose 2/10. I'm getting old i guess, so i can't full throttle on the straight anymore. I drove the Ferrari and when i can drive 3:49:8 laps twice in a row, soft tires, full fuel, better tire wear and after 5 laps of getting used to the car, i have to laugh.

You got lucky with the Ferrari pick after the BOP change but it's fine. I just wanted to point this out, that the Ferrari is to damn fast.

edit: When we are allowed to switch the cars, i would change the car in the blink of an eye ;)

    Hi guys,

Any news about the race? If we're going to keep this as it is, I don't know if it's worth spending any time preparing for it. I think it´s urgent to solve this situation, if we´re going to change the build or... because BOP, sleepstream, dirty air... Nothing is in the right place now and the race is drawing near.

If you seek a answer you have to go and talk on teamspeak with them or open a ticket with a admin because the chance you get a answer here is literally 0

For cars with the new sounds using an older build is no option (expect you want to drive a silent car)
We are trying to fix slipstream and dirty air
We won't apply a BOP as far as we know the mod contains the physics of the Virtual Le Mans 24
