The Le Mans Virtual Series used the old GTE cars with a custom never-released BOP for Le Mans. The drag however was the way it is now, with great results. These new cars only received BOP for non-LM tracks, so some things will be off at LM.
That said, draft is actually correct the way it is now. We're simracing, not playing mario kart, so artificially boosting that "for the show" first of all isn't a great look, but also changing this last minute without extensive testing will cause major issues. Any changes to slipstream draft mult and especially lift mult require extremely extensive knowledge of the aero setup in order to work at all without rendering the cars death traps in one way or another. So I very highly advise against it. There's a reason the old cars used to spin out in some corners if they were close to other cars. That wasn't a "bug", that's just how difficult it is to make draft work without causing issues in any situations

Currently there are attacks on the data center again and again, but our provider is on it

I agree it's quite late at this point to make major changes.

The previous way drafting (and perhaps also dirty air) was modeled seemed a bit exaggerated. On the other hand, I just can't believe it's realistic you don't get any boost in straightline speed when you're going 250+ km/h less than 200m behind another car. To continue the stigmatizing, this is perhaps more like Mario Kart because that game doesn't model draft or dirt air at all (at least the original on SNES) :p

These cars are so aerodynamically efficient that you really just barely get any effect. The previous one was completely ridiculous, where you'd go 30kph quicker than you should've ever been able to. You'd probably gain a tenth and a half per straight right behind another car anyway, but it's definitely not enough to overtake if you're not already about to attack anyway.

That said, almost every Mario Kart game, including the first 3D one Mario Kart 64, does in fact model draft :D

Does someone else have the problem of a connection lost on the server without a crashing inet or restarting router?

yes, my teammate started having several disconnections yesterday and restarting the router the same thing happened to him, it happened to me yesterday afternoon around 5:00 p.m. but I think the server was restarted because then it did not appear in the list of servers .

I reset my ingame connection-options. I think, that this helped.

Der Event server startet normalerweise 15-30 Minuten vor dem Quali

I want to thank the organization and all the participants of the race, it was a nice and hard race, it's a shame about the server failures because when we came back we were no longer where we were supposed to be and in code80 they sent us the car to be repaired, but still so, it was fun, thank you all and see you soon!

Greetings from the entire SRP Racing Team.

    -------------------------
Also from Mintgen eSports a big thank you to the whole organization - it was a great event, it was really fun :)
I would like to agree with Jan's points 1 and 2 - a short information would have been nice and would certainly have removed some question mark for one or the other.

Perfectly showcases that level of preparation and seriousness you race with.
    Thank you for that!

Thanks for organizing the race, the Reko, commentary and so on. It was fun to drive the new cars with new tires, despite the BOP for LeMans was off. But even with a balanced BOP we wouldn't have won anyways. To many mistakes, which cost us a lot of time. In the end we are happy for P2 in the GTE class, atleast i'm happy :p. Thanks to Black Hawk Racing, who gave me the opportunity to drive in Le Mans, but i'm very happy to have my Porsche RSR back for the next P1LMS race

    Now the more sad part...

PLEASE P1-Gaming do what ever you can to fix the stability of the Server. I know this is very frustrating for you, not only for us drivers. We have now 4 races in a row, where we had to Red Flag the Race, due to Mass disconnects from drivers. 24H Daytona, Nürburgring 8H, Istanbul 12H and now Le Mans 24H. Secure the Server in every way possible from your side. Otherwise i'm not very convinced, we have any more clean races in the P1LMS.

    Greetings Mario

(Subjektiv)

We are in one of the best computing centers we have in germany. This has been a very big advantage for us in the last 5 years, unfortunately there are always a few stupid people in the heads and from this comes that someone with complex makes an attack on center where large corporations are, in this case large car manufacturers and a bank. Our provider does everything so that it is safe, but also we do everything in our power. I am now back in contact with the support.

Big thanks to the organization. Despite the server crashes (which helped us on track, tbh :D) it was a fun race.

Also big thanks to Buttler-Pal for having me as a guest driver this race  It was good fun preparing and racing with you guys. At the end we were in a good position to finish P2, but then my computer decided to crash. We lost 2 laps and finished in P9 which was quite a disappointment, but we knew the pace was there.

I also have to say during the race I changed my mind about the drafting. It seemed to work pretty well and there was also a big difference which car you were drafting in how strong or weak this effect was.

Another Le Mans 24h done. Unfortunately we lost on both red flags and once we had an interesting crash with #31, probably there was a game freeze from their side. Personally I suffered from a heavy game stuttering all race long, I don't know why, since I never had this kind of problem until now. Anyways, our goal was the top 10, as always and at the end we secured P8, which is a great result for our team.

Congrats to everyone and thanks for the organizers. See you at Spa next time!

After looking through everything on Insta and facebook, we would like to thank you all again. It was not easy, but we still have a great event on the legs. You have fired a great support. Thanks also for the great help in the orga and in the chat. We are all still exhausted but it was a great weekend. It makes once again fun for more. We already have some points that we want to improve and look forward to the next event. Oh and Michel, come and visit me in solingen :)
