We didnt add any billboard. Only changed the textures. Now they will be removed to try to improve the performance.

My mistake then, I cant find it now but I recall you saying you were adding something.

I have just tested removing them anyway, no improvement.

Here are some setting I found helped enormously, maybe they will help others, maybe not. Thought the problem is just with the addition of all the car so worked on that premise, test them for yourself. The first lap will always be a problem as everything loads.

    "Extra Visible Vehicles"=15
    "Max Visible Vehicle"=12
    Opponent detail low.

There's a 'data time out' error on the server.

Because the date is fucked up. Yesterday was for example 8h vec on silver and 12h sebring. What do you expect ? The best/fastest drivers where THERE. Not on P1... If the test race would be today... Thats a different story

It's clear that not everybody has time to attend all test races. But there are over 130 signed up drivers! In all three test races only 70 cars in total participated. Thats roughly only half the field.

Yesterday after a few laps there were only 3 Touring cars running, 2 of which were from our tourer.

Three test races is all the participants can hope for from the orga team, but with only half the cars of the main race on track there is not much Information that can be drawn from these test races...

Drivers discuss about teams taking up too many spots on entry list but somehow nobody shows up for producing Information for the orga...

I may have overslept this morning so I missed the race :p I have been testing offline with lots of AI to re-create a busy track, did it get updated in the pack?

I just tried it offline and had the same issues. I'm now rolling back to an older Nvidia driver, as it seems to be a popular remedy to fix stuttering in other games. If I can't find a solution, I'll still take part but run with 8 visible cars and stick with it. My team mate is due to stat the race, so when I get on the track it should be quieter with cars more spread out.

The time is an issue for me, I can make an exception for the proper race, but I have two elderly parents I have to visit and look after in the day time, plus there have been a few issues with the track / car.

    Good evening everybody :)

I've just done some practice laps using the Camaro with its new fuel update. I am now getting a fuel consumption of up to 3.75l a lap when pushing the car. Even trying to save fuel by shifting much earlier than I normally would, I still didn't manage to get below 3.57l. That's nearly half a litre more than before the update.

I totally understand that the Camaro was a bit too friendly on fuel before but wouldn't it be fair to at least get the chance to do a one hour stint when saving fuel?

I also want to use this opportunity to thank you for all the effort you put into this event :)
With a BOP it's probably not easy to please everyone, especially if there's people like me who want their "Extrawurst" :D

    Cheers
    Christian

I hardly notice a difference but with the excessive front tire wear with a full load of fuel at full speed, the point is moot really as the Camaro's front tires will drop off a cliff in 50 minutes, with me much less. You would have to be cautious to even manage that. I very much doubt I will get a drive at this late stage and at the last minute will be no good because I could be doing something in real life in those 6 hours. As I'm one of the few Camaro drivers I hope my observations will help them.

I'm thankful for the use of the server and meeting new drivers though :)

EDIT: On further testing to give an approximation on the new fuel usage, it's about 5~6 extra litres an hour, which does mean you would have to pit in under an hour.

Thanks for the feedback Christian, yeah that seems pretty normal around here I think we all will be struggling, all cars are making approximately the same l per lap. I was actually surprised every made road Atlanta, in testing I didn't, so with traffic etc. Hopefully 1 hour is manageable or look for the splash and dash at the end.
